Banteay Samre

Banteay Samre is for some reason the temple I liked most. I felt the perspectives and contrasts of colors were endless. I took a lot of pictures, both B&W and color. Unfortunately, I opened my camera by mistake before rewinding the B&W film so several pictures are damaged...

Here are three B&W pictures which depict respectively a monk visiting the temple, an attendant with her baby and a little child, in the ruins of this temple.

With the color pictues you can notice the use of laterite which is red-brown mixed with the sandstone which can be gray, black, green, red or any combination of these colors due to the micro-organisms. Here they are, in no particular order and without explanations... We'll have to ask the specialists the comment on them.
